Grand Final Previews

Under 12 Boys Division 1

The Under 12 Boys Division 1 Grand Final sees Castle Hill United Red play Winston Hills.  After finishing first, United went straight through to the final after a big 5-2 win over Baulkham Hills.  Baulkham Hills then faced a determined Winston Hills who were victorious in their elimination final against the Rockets.  In a tight affair, Winston Hills came out 1-0 winners to book their place in what should be a close final against Castle Hill United.

Under 13 Boys Division 1

There were crazy parallels between the Under 12 and Under 13 Division 1 Boys.  Like their younger counterparts, the ladder saw Castle Hill United Red, Winston Hills, and Baulkham Hills finish in that order.  And again, Castle Hill beat Winston Hills in the first semi-final, prior to Winston Hills defeating Baulkham Hills 1-0 to advance to the final.  Little separated United and Winston Hills during the season, and their close meeting a fortnight ago suggests the final will be just as tight.

Under 14 Girls Division 1

Castle Hill United will face the Kellyville Kolts in this years Under 14 Girls Division 1 Grand Final.  They finished first and second respectively and met in round one of the finals, where United booked a spot in the decider with a 2-0 victory.  Kellyville then had to dispatch Winston Hills 2-1 to get another shot at their adversaries.  United and Kellyville were a deserving top two during the season proper, so this should prove to be an exciting game.

Under 14 Boys Division 1

Little separated the Rouse Hill Rams and Castle Hill Rockets during the season, and that was evident in their first final showing that the Rockets took out on penalties.  The first placed Rams then took care of Baulkham Hills Blue to book a rematch with the second placed Rockets.  Given the close ability of the two sides, this could be decided by fine margins once again.

Under 15 Boys Division 1

The Rouse Hill Rams pulled off a huge win against the minor premiers to book their place in the Under 15 Boys Division 1 Grand Final.  That forced Castle Hill United Red to do battle with their fellow clubman to earn a rematch.  The Rams will feel buoyed by their recent win, but United know they have the talent given their top placed finish and will be out for redemption.

Under 16 Boys Division 1

Baulkham Hills Blue will play the Castle Hill Rockets in the Final of the Under 16 Boys Division 1 competition.  The sides finished first and second respectively, and met first week of the finals where Baulkham Hills went home 2-1 victors.  The Rockets then played cross-town rivals Castle Hill United Blue to book their spot in the final.  Expect another close game between what were the two best sides during the season.

Under 17 Boys Division 1

Castle Hill United Red will play the Rouse Hill Rams Red in the Under 17 Boys Division 1 Grand Final.  The Rams had to take the long road to the final after finishing third during the season.  They dispatched Baulkham Hills 2-1 in their elimination final before notching up a thrilling 4-3 victory against Glenhaven to book a spot in the big dance.  United Red claimed the minor premiership and took the week off after a 3-1 victory over second placed Glenhaven.  They’ll feel they deserve the win after a successful season, but will need to hold off the Rams who look to cause an upset.
