Instructional Referees Success Story – Winston Hills

In 2017, Hills Football launch its instructing referee program. The idea was to have junior referees trained in order to referee small sided matches for the 8, 9, 10 & 11 age groups. Under the watchful eye of program Coordinator Jim Moreland the program has been a success.

Special thanks to Mcdonalds Dural for pattering with our junior referees and providing shirts for them all to wear.

An example of this success is Winston Hiulls Football Club, who this  year organised referee courses to allow our juniors to be able to referee U8-U11 small sided games. They had a fantastic response with 16 players becoming accredited. All referees will officiate at Max Ruddock and Gooden Reserve. This is a great experience and step for the next level of refereeing. Everyone has completed at least 1 game and done a great job. If you see a junior ref in a red shirt at the ground, give them a smile and say well done.

Special thanks to Jim Moreland and Hills Association for making it happen.
